When I accomplish a goal, I often ask myself, “What have I become to achieve this goal?” An often time, the answer to that question excites me more than the goal itself!
This is a very interesting saying that I came across just now. And it really makes me think deep about the meaning within, who have I became, what I have accomplished all these years and what had happened so far.
The majority of us set our goals to succeed in something. Whether it is having a successful business, becoming a millionaire, losing 50 pounds, or having a high power career, we feel as though we have arrived. There is nothing wrong with this, but you should remember that the reward you receive from reaching your goals is just the fruit, the by-product. What really matters is the transformation of you along the way.
Yes, think about it. Who we are going to become in our journey of pursuing our dreams and our goals are the REAL rewards. Once you have travelled the path, you will realize that you will eventually become a different person, regardless of whether you successfully accomplished your goals.
If you set a specific goal earlier this year and you accomplished it, chances are you were more confident and committed this year.
If you failed to achieve your goal from earlier this year, you may not feel so confident or committed as you would like, but please do not give up and do not feel disappointed. Pick yourself up, trust and believe that although you didn’t get it done in the past, you are going to get it done! Tell yourself that even though you did not accomplish it, you have learned something and have thus grown to be a better person than before.
As long as you learn something and never give up, you are not considered as a failure. Victory is still within your grasp! Somehow you learned something and you changed, you move a little closer toward your goals and you now have more experience.
When you think back about the first part of this year and what you have done, do you feel proud or do you feel unsatisfied? Only you can answer this question.
If
you have achieved your targets, you may feel great and satisfy. However, if you
failed to accomplish what you have set, you may feel unsatisfied or
disappointed and you might wish to turn back time. We all know that we cannot
turn back the time, what we can do right now is to learn from our past. Learn from it and decide now that we
are not going to live another mediocre year this time.
Now that this is the second part of the year, what are you going to do? Contrary to what you think, you can have a brand new beginning. You can achieve a lot of what you want in just one year. Work all the way out and put in 100% commitment to achieve all your dreams and goals!
