There is a saying
going around in the world that “You are here for a purpose”. But, do you really
believe it? Do you understand that in spite of everything you have done, or the
accomplishments you have made, whether good or bad, that you REALLY matter to
God?
There is one great
reason why you matter to God:
He anointed you to
fix problems on the earth.
The anointing that
has been bestowed on you to fix these problems is your calling, your purpose.
Take a look at what
you do day to day. Does it align with your passion, your strengths? Or are you
just going day to day, going thru the emotions? So often we go and do the
things we are deemed as supposed to do in life: wake up, tend to the spouse and
kids (if applicable), go to work a job that isn’t exactly fulfilling, but pays
the bills, attend church once or twice a week, and maybe get a little exercise
in between. Some people would think that is a good life. I am not saying that it
isn’t, because we all are to work, be responsible, maintain family and worship
God. But, as extraordinary of a God that has created us, we ought to want to
live extraordinary like Him. After all, we were created in his image and
likeness correct?
If you are stuck in a
rut and have a desire step out in the world and pursue your dreams, you have to
be willing to focus, prioritize, and press.
You have to live, rather than just exist. What are you living for today?
Ask yourself: Are you just living to get to the next day, or are you living to
change the scope of the future? Don’t just think the change, be the change.
Walk in it!
