A Godly Reminder To You!

I don’t know about you, but I am excited about what is to come this year. Before I see a manifestation of something, I am giddy with excitement as though it as already happened. Why? Because I have enough faith and power to believe that all good things that are in alignment with my purpose shall and will come to pass?  But I also know that I have to do my part too. So, while I am in overdrive on faith, I know that I need to be in overdrive with my actions as well. I mean sure, God can LITTERLY drop a blessing, an opportunity, an open window in our laps, but I think He wants us to put forth some action before He begins to drop a thing!

I know that it is a new year and many of you are gung ho about your resolutions and goals to get them done! Often times we miss the mark when it comes to God and what He provides for us. We sometimes want to do a “lap dance” for God when it comes to blessings. We dance around the way we THINK He would want us to, just so He can throw some blessings our way. You and I both know that God doesn’t operate like that. He wants our full attention, our heart, our mind, our Spirits to be in direct alliance with the direction He wants us to go.

Ask yourself – are the passions that you are on fire for, burning more than your relationship with God? I know that we have a lot going on that we are trying to do – live out dreams, start a business, take care of a family, serve in ministry, etc. But how well will that prosper if the one who instilled you with those dreams is coming in last place in your list of priorities?

Listen – I am not saying that we can’t have it all and do all – I know I have a HUGE amount of things that I intend to accomplish – but keep in mind that HE needs to stay on top of your mind. Include HIM in every aspect of your life. Every decision that you need to make, consult Him first. He will never steer you the wrong way. Let your relationship with Him shine, just as it did they day you first fell in love with Him. Rekindle your flame that once shined so brightly! I promise you—GOD is going to blow your mind, fill you will a great deal of wisdom, discernment, opportunity, and favor along your path!

Be Thankful - You are Blessed, No Matter What!

It is one full day left in 2012. Many of you have had some good times, some miracles, some breakthroughs in your life. You would say that 2012 has been the bomb.com. BUT, there are some…who believed for all those good times, those miracles, and those breakthroughs in life, and for some reason or another…they have been extremely far and few between, or….they just have not happened.

Whether you were riding high or crawling low, there is one thing that you should be. That is THANKFUL.

No matter what situation you may have faced…you are still HERE. You still have purpose intertwined within you, with every breath that you take. There were many, many people, who thought they would see 2013, but destiny had other plans in their lives.

We are a blessed people, no matter what. Remember that. If you had a successful year, praise God for even greater things to come. If you had a lackluster year, praise God that he gave you the “tweaking anointing” to review and revamp some things in your life that will take you to that next level living you have prayed about. If your year has been the worst in your life thus far – still praise God. There is lesson in the mess, that He wants you to learn, so it can turn around into a blessing.

I challenge you not to kick this year to the curb, and to look for the good in the simplest things that we often take for granted. If you are in decent health, have a roof over your head, gainfully employed, have loving family, and serve an awesome God…then you are in the upper echelon of being blessed.

Take those things that were not as good as it could have been and make them the best they can be in 2013. Increase your prayer life. Love on God JUST BECAUSE of who HE is. Renew and strengthen your covenant with Him. Seek AND include God in ALL your plans, and allow Him to provide feedback. Be obedient in whatever HE says do, not everyone else.

I am praying for GREAT and MIGHTY things for your life in 2013. It has been a pleasure to serve you with doses of motivation and inspiration in 2012 and I look forward to a greater outpouring to come! May all that you have endeavored to do is fulfilled and is blessed. See you in 2013!

Permission Granted to Succeed!

There may be times in your life where everything seems to be going haywire. Nothing appears to be lining up the way it is supposed to. Your mind begins to tell you that you can’t finish a thing. Other people may chime in to add their peanut gallery comments.  Add a splash of fear and procrastination to the mix, and you have the perfect recipe for stagnation.

But rest assured, no matter what happens to you, and where you find yourself at, realize that it is God who controls all and knows the beginning and the end to a thing. There are many things that may come in life that try to throw you off your destination course. You have the control to stay on the road, to drive defensively so to speak, to ensure that you aren’t ran off the road.  God has more than equipped you with the tools to overcome!

God has brought you here for a purpose and HE has given you a mandate to finish it. You have permission to succeed; no matter what lies you keep telling yourself. You have permission to succeed, no matter how many times you may not get it right and have to keep starting over. You don’t need to beat yourself up. You don’t need to wait until what you feel is the “right” time. Access has been granted! YOU have permission to succeed.

Are Your Dreams Growing?

If you’re tired of waiting for your God-given dreams to sprout, don’t be discouraged.  Having a little growth isn’t a problem, but having no growth is!   While dreams are unique in their timing, how you care for them and guard them plays a crucial role in how soon your dreams will come into full bloom.  Here are some things to keep in mind regarding the dreams you have for your life.

Tailor made dreams transpire as a result of your gifts, passion and life experience.  Your friend can’t tell you, your spouse can’t tell you and not even your parents can tell you how to make your dreams grow and come into maturity.  That’s because your dream is unique to you, but the good news is that God wants you to discover how your dreams can unfold and become a reality.

Sometimes a Plan B can transform into the perfect Plan A.  If you feel like you’re living a Plan B right now, don’t fret!  Sometimes a Plan B can become the catalyst to your Plan A.  What was originally viewed as a failure can be the very tool that provides the backbone you need to refocus and adjust your current plan.  Failure is not permanent and growth is a process, but failing to grow and continue moving forward will lead to stagnant unfruitful life.

Your dreams can be custom fit to your lifestyle.  Contrary to what you or someone else may think, you don’t need a lot of money or a total life makeover to make your dreams a reality.  The best way to quick start your dreams is to work with what you have right now. Don’t worry about the “right time”. It’s all about strategy and being able to leverage what you have now to work with. Focus and discipline yourself to push past the little, subtle trips I the road that distract you and throw you off course from your goal.

Be faithful in finishing the recipe of your dreams.  Being fruitful and growing is the result of intentional actions on a regular basis.  Surround your life with the right people, who love you and will hold you accountable and speak truth into your life.  If you have to, commit to taking small steps and boldly press into your fears, because your breakthrough awaits you on the other side!

Command a YES in your Spirit to your God-inspired dreams, and you will surely transform into God’s best version of you while making a powerful impact!

Reflect:  How do you plan to act upon and grow your God-inspired dreams?  What fears and limitations do you need to eradicate to get you to where you need to be?  How will you use your gifts, passion and life experience to make your dreams an explosive reality?

Give Your Failures A Standing Ovation!

Now I am sure, that the title of this post makes you probably think twice. You may even say to yourself, “Why would I want to do that? My failures have cost me______ , or  are the reason why I can’t move forward to do__________.” Often times, even though we speak one thing, we are actually attracted to our failures, and may not even realize it.  As much as we say that we hate them, we tend to have them around too long, especially in a negative manner.

You can do one of two things with failures. You can have a pity party with them, or you can rise above them.

I want you to give your failures (past, current, AND future) a standing ovation. YES. Applause. Whistles. Bravo. Encore! Why? Because these are the things that are going to grow you, and aid in molding you into the very essence of why God purpose you on this earth – for such a time as this.

Think about this: If you never had failures, you may have never had the opportunity to learn or grow in a specific area. What tries to trip you up and stop you, should be the very thing that makes you stronger. It should make you want to do better, and be better.

From this point on, purpose in your heart to not fear your failures, but to face them, fix them, and push past them. Be encouraged. You WILL make mistakes. When you do turn them around to mold you!

Why Your Life Matters to God!

There is a saying going around in the world that “You are here for a purpose”. But, do you really believe it? Do you understand that in spite of everything you have done, or the accomplishments you have made, whether good or bad, that you REALLY matter to God?

There is one great reason why you matter to God:

He anointed you to fix problems on the earth.

The anointing that has been bestowed on you to fix these problems is your calling, your purpose.

Take a look at what you do day to day. Does it align with your passion, your strengths? Or are you just going day to day, going thru the emotions? So often we go and do the things we are deemed as supposed to do in life: wake up, tend to the spouse and kids (if applicable), go to work a job that isn’t exactly fulfilling, but pays the bills, attend church once or twice a week, and maybe get a little exercise in between. Some people would think that is a good life. I am not saying that it isn’t, because we all are to work, be responsible, maintain family and worship God. But, as extraordinary of a God that has created us, we ought to want to live extraordinary like Him. After all, we were created in his image and likeness correct?

If you are stuck in a rut and have a desire step out in the world and pursue your dreams, you have to be willing to focus, prioritize, and press.  You have to live, rather than just exist. What are you living for today? Ask yourself: Are you just living to get to the next day, or are you living to change the scope of the future? Don’t just think the change, be the change. Walk in it!
