Stick to It Your Goals - No Matter What!

Reaching a goal is easy to say, and but in reality it can be harder to do. That’s even more the reason why staying motivated during the times that you just don’t feel like it, or when you don’t even want to try is extremely important. There are many signs as to why you might not feel you’ve stepped up to bat with your full potential. Ultimately – it is you.

If you think you can go through the motions, and you’ll be successful, then think again. It won’t work. So what can you do?

Is it a confidence Issue? Start by looking your self confidence issue square in the face and then change it! No one else can, and to be honest no one else cares as much as you should. Dig deep to the root as to why you feel or act the way you do, and write them down. Also, make a list of the areas you would like to improve or change totally about yourself. Be honest with yourself! Tap into God and ask Him to reveal to you the “hidden” things, and make a point to face those revealed things head on. You only have one life to live, so live it to your fullest, and to the best of your capabilities. Don’t be too hard on yourself, as change will take time, but begin TODAY to transform your future.

Know that you can use to stay motivated, and to achieve whatever goals that you’ve set out for yourself in your life.

Plan to stay motivated! Write it down. Look at the different ways that keep you motivated and write those down too. There are endless possibilities for motivation that you can use, and there will be new ones that you might discover along the way. Take some time to read some books from inspirational power leaders such as Tony Robbins, or use spirituality to inspire you and give you hope.

Make it a habit!  Every morning, or even the night before, make it a habit to create short term lists for goals that you want to achieve that day or the next. By focusing on a few short term goals your long term ones will become closer and well defined. Take your long term goals and shorten them into easier to accomplish steps.

Confess! Declare all of the positive things that will happen in your life by achieving your goals. Walk around the house and stick up post it notes indicating what you expect to happen. Taking a look at the goals you will accomplish will inspire you to reach for the goal and not to give up.

Use time wisely by taking care of your temple. Stay in close communion with God. Pray, study the Word (and apply it), and be attentive of what God speaks to you. Physically, regular exercise and a healthy diet in conjunction with a steady sleep routine will keep you alert and focused on the goals ahead.

Give yourself praise when you reach a milestone toward your goal. Do this by taking some time for you, in other words take the time to smell the roses. Whatever things you like to do, but haven’t done them in a while, do!  Buy a new outfit, go to the movies, go to the spa! Do whatever it takes to make you feel good about what reaching out for your goal.

As you go along with your plans always recognize that when the bad days try to pursue you, there will ALWAYS be a better tomorrow. By reaching for the stars and succeeding you’ll find things out about yourself that you never knew. The most important thing to remember is that you should never quit, even when things don’t seem like they are going well.

Live By Design!

Think and ask yourself: “What is it that I really want? Can I do the "impossible" thing that I have been called to do? Do I want success? Can I EVER overcome? Do I want to be released from these bondages of self imposed lack and limitation?”

Whether you realize it or not, your life will be designed either by default, or by divine design. A divine design is one that you consciously followed by God’s direction. Anything less than that, you will be shortchanging the best life that God has intended for you to have!

I have tried many things in my life that albeit were generally good things to do, they were not what I should have been doing. The funny thing about it is they all started the same way: Idea-Run-Stuck-Fall. Get the idea. Run excitedly to execute it. Get stuck and frustrated. Eventually fall. After a few frustrating patterns of that, I finally settled in my Spirit of what I was truly designed to do. It was like something in my said, “Sit down somewhere, and listen to your heart and spirit for a change! Don’t second guess it. Don’t second guess it when people tell you can’t, why you can’t or try to criticize you. Don't worry about those things, because when God speaks it, that settles it!"

I admonish you to run back to  that place that keeps nudging you, and keeps whispering to you. Stop trying to block it out, you hear it now, ever so clear, shouting, "I have been in you too long, when will you reveal me to the world?" Once you get in alignment of divine design, and stop fighting it and yourself, your vision will INSTANTLY become clearer. Everything that you so desperately tried to change and execute before and hit a brick wall will be replaced with those actions that will be performed with ease. The conditions of your life will begin to fall into place, and your life will begin to change without struggle and fail.

Choose today to live by divine design. Ultimate life success is only one design away!

Uniqueness is All About YOU!

Uniqueness is defined as being the only one of its kind. Each of us has a particular and individual combination of skills, talents, interests, history, life experiences, and responses to our life experiences that makes us uniquely, well, us! Even identical twins, who share DNA and most life experiences, tend to have a unique makeup of skills and talents, which makes them unique as well.

Understand this: God created you to be UNIQUE, in HIS image. You were born for a specific purpose, focused destiny, and no one, I mean NO ONE can get the job done but you.  So how do you embrace your uniqueness? Here are some tips:

1) Knock the bad devil off of your shoulder! Stop listening to those negative things that you continually tell yourself. Those things are only meant to hinder and you and move you to procrastinate. Turn it around—speak life, speak positivity. Self declare that you are great!

2) Don’t comparison shop who you are to someone else! Stop wishing that you could have (buy) the life that you see someone else living. God has given you more than enough gifting and talents to go out and make things happen. Take the necessary steps to figure out exactly what you want out of life, and make a master plan of action to get it.

3) Following the crowd can leave a cloud! Just because it is the popular thing to do or fad to follow, doesn’t mean it is for you to do! Be your own trendsetter and change agent. Set the path, don’t trail the path!

4) Pay attention to your assets, not your liabilities! Look at the things that you can do, not what you can’t do. Focus on your potential, not your limitations. Perfect and excel!

5) Give your naysayers a linebacker block! Ear hustlers bring nothing but trouble to your ability and your mental capacity if you let them. Don’t listen to what others say about your ability or your ideas. It is not for them to accomplish- only you!

6) Toot your own horn! So what if no one praises you, or gives you accolades for the things that you do – shower yourself with them! You desire a standing ovation from YOU! You are not a quitter, you are focused, you are determined, and you are a success!!! Believe in it!

Life is made for you to fulfill a purpose and to enjoy being you while doing it. Love your life, love who you are, and love where you are going! Declare today “Happy YOU Day” – you deserve it!

Who's Calling You?

You are not qualified to be called, but you are called to be qualified! So many believe that they have to do this, do that, and only then will they be ready to go forth!!! But how many people know that all you need is a WORD from GOD to get started!!!

God called you to walk in the purpose that HE ordained you to walk in. Not mom, not dad, not your best friend, but GOD. Don’t allow others to chart a path for your destiny that will have you on a crash course to failure. Of course, you may not believe that God could call someone like you for a vision that appears to be outlandish to the natural eye. BUT, that is usually how it comes. If you are thinking too small and the vision that you believe you are called to is not that hard to obtain, then chances are it is not the TRUE vision but just a passionate desire. I don’t believe that God would give you a vision where He really would not be needed in order for you to achieve it. He just doesn’t operate like that.

I wholeheartedly believe that YOU can do what God has placed in you. Run with a passion and focus to fulfill it, and watch how He moves on your behalf!

Decisions, Decisions!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions…we all have them to make! But the question is, will we make the right ones? I am not talking about general day to day decisions, like what am I going to eat, what I am going to where, etc.  I am talking more so of those major, life altering decisions, that have you at the fork in the middle of the road of your destiny. There are several things that influence our decision making, like what it takes, what actions are required to fulfill the decision, and what is the outcome of the decision.  So what do you do to ensure that you have made the most effective decision for your lives?

1) SEEK GOD. I cannot stress this enough.  Try to 3A APPROACH. ASK – ACKNOWLEDGE –ACT.
A) Ask God what He would have you to do, the direction He would have you to go. Expect to get an answer.
B) ACKNOWLEDGE that you have received an answer from Him. Don’t second guess it, don’t waver, and don’t ask other’s their opinion of it. God’s answer is actual and factual, and is not up for debate.

C) ACT on what He has told you. Why ask if you don’t proceed with the instruction given? If it sounds a bit outlandish, or crazy to you…don’t worry, just do it! God is trying to stretch you beyond the sense of reasonable…His ways are beyond that, to get you to see the impossible come to past inside of you!

2) Discern what others speak to you. Sometimes God may not give you an answer directly from Him, but may use someone else to speak to you. Check the words and the spirit behind the words that you receive, and CONFIRM them with Him.

 3) Don’t live in the season of regret! If you thought you had it right, and you do miss the mark, just look to aim better the next time! A skilled sharpshooter was a horrible aim when they first began! All things that don’t work out the way you thought usually have a message within for you to grasp and learn for the next time of opportunity. Don’t be afraid to step out and live fearlessly!

Make it a point to prioritize your decisions and live the life that is destined within you!

Stay In The Water!

We are all familiar with the story of Jesus and the disciples when they were fearful in the boat. Jesus summoned Peter to walk on the water towards him, and he did so momentarily. The split moment he began to let fear slither into his being, he began the sink and drown. After analyzing this story, I thought to myself-why is it that when God gives us a directive, we follow it for a while and stray, or don’t follow it at all? Why can’t we seem to get it right…and keep it right? I mean if God wants us to be the head and not the tail, below and not beneath, highly favored, etc…why aren’t we? Success awaits us, it has been entrusted to us, we have been empowered to walk in it. We can’t just wait for it to fall in our laps and expect it to all be smooth sailing! What I would like for you to do is not just envision yourself walking on the water; but actually diving in and swimming in it!

Just like a scuba diver jumps in a lake or the ocean water to find life species or treasures, so must you do the same to find your treasure! Your treasure is in trusting that God will lead you, He will provide for you, He will sustain you!

Fear, doubt, procrastination are the drowning agents of your destiny. Nothing can quickly zap out your calling than these things.

Let me let you in on one of my passions. I absolutely love the being in the atmosphere of the ocean. It’s serenity, its peacefulness, its calming effect does wonders. The coolness of the water just sets me to a place of euphoric contentment. Same goes for a nice, elegant pool setting (but not at as high of a level). But guess what? I can’t swim a lick. Now, does that stop me from getting in the water, even jumping in the water? Not one bit. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not stupid, I am not going to put my life in jeopardy, I do use wisdom when I am frolicking in the waves. I am trying to make a point here. As I am jumping the water, I trust GOD enough that I know that I won’t drown, there won’t a chance of unfortunate mishaps to occurs. So the same should be with your life plan. When God gives you a plan, He trusts that you have enough in you to perform it. He trusts that you trust HIM enough to know that He will not allow you not to fail.

So what are you waiting for? The water is waiting for you to jump in. You will not regret what where it leads you. Treasure awaits!
